30 year old Jonna Merta tells Singles naked -series, that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder relatively late. Jonna was only diagnosed three years ago, although the disease has been present throughout his life.
– I feel that I don’t have a golden mean. Either or, either we make a hundred in a glass or not at all. When there are bad moments, you’re in really deep waters, you’re depressed and you can’t really find the will to live. When the momentum is on, one is the ruler of the world, the next to God, everything is great and great, he recalls.
Jonna says that when the symptoms of the disease were at their worst, she almost died of an overdose. Now he has a working medication and a regular therapy relationship. Jonna says that her life is balanced, and her two children keep her busy in everyday life and on the road. Jonna describes herself as a responsible parent.
Looking for a self-confident partner in his life, Jonna’s first dates end before they even start.
– No. Yeah, cut it! I’m still totally shocked. We have dated him once before and let’s just say it didn’t end well and I don’t want to see him again.
Next, Jonna meets someone who works as a salesperson Linda’sphysical therapy student Jonas and graphic artist Sam’s. Especially Linda and Sami seem to be on his mind. Jonna wants to find out what her dating partners thought about her diagnosis.
He makes sure that Linda doesn’t want to run away after hearing about it. It turns out that Linda is very understanding, because she herself has bipolar disorder.
– Then I’d run away myself too, Linda reassures.
