Jong AZ takes three points against Jong Ajax

The promises clash between Jong Ajax and Jong AZ was won by the Alkmaarders. Goals from Zico Buurmeester and Iman Griffith were enough. Ar’Jany Martha did score the tying goal, but it wasn’t enough: 1-2.

However, the start of Young AZ was dramatic. A long shot by Gabriel Misehouy was misjudged by Hobie Verhulst and Jaydon Banel hit the mark. However, he was in an offside position and the party was cancelled.

Misehouy was the most dangerous man in the opening phase, because moments later his shot kissed the crossbar. Before the break, however, Jong AZ came out of its shell. Yusuf Barasi was given an imposed chance after a combination with Fedde de Jong. Goalkeeper Thom de Graaff was sharp and tipped the header out of the goal.

The Alkmaar promises still took the lead in the second. This time there was a one-two between Zico Buurmeester and Barasi. Buurmeester, who was in London last night, scored the opening goal. Substitute Ernest Poku then had a great opportunity to extend the score, but shot just wide.

In the end it was Iman Griffith, who scored two minutes later: 0-2. Ar’Jany Martha made it exciting in the final phase, but Young AZ took the points back to Wijdewormer.
