Young AZ scored a point (1-1) on a visit to FC Eindhoven. Ricuenio Kewal scored the opening goal, after which Ozan Kökcü scored the equalizer. For Jong Ajax, the away match against ADO Den Haag ended in a deception: 2-1.
The youngsters from Alkmaar narrowly lost against NAC Breda (2-3) on Monday evening. The start against FC Eindhoven was dominant and that led to opportunities through Loek Postma (long shot) and Dave Kwakman (cross). Both teams went to the changing rooms with the score 0-0.
Ricuenio Kewal scored the first goal in the second half. A long kick from Rome’s Jayden Owusu-Oduro (who is in the provisional selection of the Dutch Juniors) was extended by Nick Koster and Kewal hit the target. Due to AZ’s fumbling, Ozan Kökcü was released in front of the goal and equalized (1-1). That position did not change anymore.
We find Jong AZ in eighth place with 40 points. In exactly one week, Jong PSV will be the next opponent in the first division.
