The red jersey was suddenly an afterthought in the Vuelta. Jumbo-Visma experienced an emotional day after rider Nathan Van Hooydonck became unwell in Belgium and was involved in a serious car accident. Jonas Vingegaard honored his friend with the day’s victory.
