The Helsinki Jokerit, who have returned to the Finnish hockey map, have won the match. The people from Helsinki played at Kupitta in the TuTo tournament against the tournament host and won the match 3–2.

All the goals for the clown shirts came in the second period. They succeeded in scoring Alexander Forslund, Valtteri Jeskanen mixed Erkka Seppälä.

TuTo, also playing in Mestis, scored the last goal of the match at the beginning of the third period, but did not get the necessary equalizer. The home team’s attack was led by a center who played in the SM league in 13 different seasons and represented Vaasan Sport last year Turo Asplund.

The new arrival of Jokers has garnered a lot of attention. It made a spectacular, but poorly played comeback at the beginning of August in Rauma Lace Tournament. Jokerit only played against SM league teams and lost to Äss, Luko and TPS.

A week ago, Jokerit suffered an overtime loss to KeuPa.

The practice game season is not over yet. The Jokers still have four hard-fought matches left, in all of which the opponent will play against the future Mestis competition partner.

The season really starts on September 21. Jokerit plunges straight into the deep end and opens its autumn with an away match against the reigning champion Kiekko-Espoo. Kiekko-Espoo announced that match tickets for the Metro arena were sold out in one day.

The hall can hold around 6,980 spectators, which means that on the day of the game, Mestis will see a new spectator record.
