‘Johnny tries to clean the blazon’

Antoinette Hertsenberg does not find Johnny de Mol’s reaction to the leaked declaration of his ex-fiancée Shima Kaes very convincing. “He’s trying to clean his blazon.”

Opinions about Johnny de Mol are quite divided, but one thing is certain, according to Angela de Jong: in Hilversum there is a double standard. One celebrity can immediately pack his bags at the first allegation, the other celebrity can just continue to present a talk show night after night on flagship SBS 6.

Blazon

NPO 1-star Antoinette Hertsenberg has mixed feelings about it, she says in Eva Jinek’s talk show. She was asked there yesterday for her opinion on Johnny’s reaction. He held up two fingers in HLF8 and said, “It’s not true. I did not do any of that and there is certainly no question of abuse.”

The Radar presenter: “Pooh… I hadn’t seen this yet, so I haven’t really thought about it yet what I think. Well, of course he’s just trying to clean his blazon with this and step forward. Well, there are some scary stories. So yes…”

High trees

Eva Jinek then: “Yes, there are declarations.”

Antoinette: “Yes, the declarations are there and ehhh…. Difficult. It’s hard for me to judge that right now.”

The bawdy dinner guest Michel Perridon then: “Yes, tall trees catch a lot of wind. His father has just had a pretty bad time and his aunt… Of course they have money, so they are easy victims. Anyway, no one has been convicted, so let’s assume it’s not that bad. Doesn’t seem like a bad boy to me.”

affectionately

Johnny indicates that he does not want to respond substantively to the allegations, but in the end he will of course have to. The presenter wants to score high ratings and thus win the viewer’s favor, but the viewer now seriously wonders whether he has indeed repeatedly beaten up Shima, as she claims in detail.

It makes a difference to Johnny that he is ‘a good friend of three quarters of the national showbiz and media world and his father a feared media tycoon’, according to Angela. For example, Albert Verlinde spoke almost affectionately about Johnny’s statement yesterday: “We know Johnny, I know Johnny pretty well too, you saw that trembling lip a bit like that.”

Nothing from where?

Where Albert talks about Johnny’s trembling lip, columnist Jan Dijkgraaf focuses more on Johnny’s alleged loose hands. He thinks that Johnny goes very far by saying that ‘nothing of it is true’. He points to “the dozens of photos of Shima Kaes’s injuries” and “doctors’ statements about Shima Kaes’s injuries.”

Jan: “Because not all media are in the hands of your father and not all journalists are employed by your father, I have been able to follow the whole affair between Shima Kaes and you quite well over the past almost a year and a half, Johnny. (…) You know what I’m thinking after reading all that shit, Johnny? That everything is true
