The lawsuit between actress Johnny Deppin and actress-model Amber Heard continues in the state of Virginia in the United States. The ex-couple has sued each other for defamation.
Depp said in a defamation trial earlier that he has still not seen the first one Pirates of the Caribbean to his film. Now the actor has also stated that he would not return to his hit role – even for a hefty sum of money.
Depp has claimed Heard’s accusations ruined his career. The man is demanding $ 50 million in compensation from Heard for spreading false information. Depp says Disney had shelved him from the sixth film Pirates of the Caribbean just days after Heard’s accusations came out in 2018.
Heard’s lawyer Ben Rottenborn raised the matter in court.
– It didn’t surprise me. For two years the whole world has been talking about me as a wife breaker. I’m sure Disney broke up for safety, Depp replied.
The sequel to the film series is not yet in production, at least for now. The lawsuit also revealed that Depp would no longer be willing to return to his role as Jack Sparrow in the future if the opportunity arose at some point.
– If Disney offered you a $ 300 million contract and a million alpacas, wouldn’t you return to work for Disney in Pritates of the Carribbean? Am I right?
– This is true, Mr Rottenborn, the actor said sharply.
