Johnny Depp performed again as a surprise guest alongside Jeff Beck at the Royal Albert Hall in London on May 31st. A verdict in the trial against him and his ex-wife Amber Heard could come at any time.
The 58-year-old hobby guitarist Depp was on stage for a total of 20 minutes. For an encore he even supported Jeff Beck again. The legendary rock guitarist introduced the guest star by saying “he’s someone who just knocked on my booth backstage five years ago and we’ve never stopped laughing ever since”. The concert audience is said to have hoped for a performance by Depp, as he had shared the stage with Jeff Beck in Sheffield the night before. A shock for the fans – the trial of his ex-wife Amber Heard had only ended 48 hours before. Depp is said to have been greeted with a standing ovation at the concert.

The jury has been deliberating on a verdict in the trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard since May 27. The actor has accused his ex-wife of damaging his career with false allegations of domestic violence. He’s asking for $50 million in damages.
Heard is also suing her ex-husband. In her counterclaim for defamation, she is seeking $100 million in damages. It is not yet clear when a judgment will be passed. Negotiations have been going on for seven weeks.
