Johnny Depp made a surprise guest appearance alongside Jeff Beck in Sheffield, UK on Sunday (29 May).
Two days after the pleadings in the court case against Depp’s ex-girlfriend Amber Heard, the 58-year-old actor and amateur guitarist suddenly took the stage at a Beck concert.
Johnny Depp supported the legendary rock guitarist on three songs. Together they sang a cover of John Lennon’s “Isolation” – a studio version the two had already recorded in 2020. They also performed a cover of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On” and Jimmy Hendrix’s “Little Win”. Here are the fan footage of the concert:
Trial against ex-wife Heard
Depp has been in the headlines lately for the defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard. After describing herself as a victim of domestic violence in an article in The Washington Post, Depp sued. He accuses her of harming his career with false allegations and is demanding $50 million in damages.
Heard is also suing her ex-husband. In her counterclaim for defamation, she is seeking $100 million in damages. The hearing of evidence in the case ended on May 27, but it is still unclear when the verdict will be pronounced.
