The trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard was ruled out on Wednesday.
The jury announced its decision in a lawsuit between actor Johnny Deppin, 58, and Amber Heard, 36, on Wednesday. According to the jury, Heard was guilty of defaming Depp.
Heard will have to pay Depp more than $ 15 million in defamation: $ 10 million in damages and $ 5 million in punitive damages.
The jury also ordered Depp to pay Heard $ 2 million in damages for defamation.
The jury’s decisions did not respond to the ex-couple’s right to compensation. Depp demanded $ 50 million in compensation from his ex-wife in the lawsuit. Heard, for his part, had claimed $ 100 million in compensation.

Although the jury found both of them guilty of defaming each other, its decision was clearly skewed towards Depp.
Commenting on the decision, Depp considered winning his ex-wife in court.
– The jury gave me my life back. From the beginning, the goal of this lawsuit was to reveal the truth regardless of the outcome, he says in a statement.
– The best is yet to come and a new chapter has finally begun.
Heard’s moods were the opposite. He says he is broken by the jury’s decision.
“The disappointment I feel today is indescribable,” he said in a statement.
– I am broken that the huge amount of evidence was not enough against the disproportionate power and influence of my ex-husband.
Heard says she is even more disappointed by what this decision means to other women.
– This is a setback. It’s a setback to the idea that violence against women should be taken seriously, she says.
Dramatic trial
The couple has been in the middle of media attention in recent weeks. Depp and Heard have both sued each other for defamation allegations of violence.
The trial ended on Friday, May 27, after both parties had heard the closing statements.
The trial was held in Virginia, USA. At the hearing, Depp shone in his absence as he has been spotted in the UK. The actor performed as a guitarist with a friend Jeff Beckin at gigs just before the court decision.
Heard arrived at the hearing on time, though he was expected to miss it.
