‘Johnny de Mol is being destroyed’

Ruud de Wild was pissed off at the start of his radio show today. He thinks that Johnny de Mol is being destroyed by his ex-fiancée Shima Kaes, who accuses him of assault.

It is Ruud de Wild’s heart that Shima Kaes’s violent complaint against Johnny de Mol has been leaked. He finds it ‘disgusting’. “Johnny is the son of a billionaire, so an easy victim. Coincidentally, I know very closely that this woman wanted money,” says the radio producer in his show on NPO Radio 2.

“She wants money!”

Shima just wants money, says Ruud. “The De Mol family has said – and quite rightly: ‘We will not be blackmailed, the judge decides.’ Now she goes out because she doesn’t get money with all the details he can’t defend against. That goes way, way too far. I think it’s really bizarre that everything should be possible in this country.”

He continues: “You just have to be able to shout anything. I think it is seriously ridiculous, ridiculous and again: the De Mol family, they are not my friends people, really not, on the contrary – not enemies but I mean: I had a shitty time at Talpa and left there in a disgusting way – but I think this is really going too far.”

Under fire

But what if Shima does speak the truth? “Then I take everything back and I say, ‘My humble apologies, I learned from this.’ I find it really bizarre. This woman just asked for money and really a lot of money and she didn’t get it because they didn’t let themselves be blackmailed. Justifiably.”

She’s just vindictive, he thinks. “This Johnny de Mol is a young guy who has fallen in love with a woman, he has dragged her all over the world, at one point it was just finished and she didn’t like that. (…) Because the De Mol family is now under fire, it is nice and easy.”

Shut up

Johnny has Ruud’s full support. “He is now being punished again and soon we will find out that he did not do it, and then what? (…) I’m damned if I don’t stand up for Johnny de Mol, because I happen to know that he will be destroyed. (…) This lady should have kept her mouth shut.”

Maybe Johnny himself is a victim, says Ruud. “There would be violence here. She has fought with him and she is perhaps very skilled at fighting. Isn’t it the same then? May he also say it then?”

“Whoa, whoa!”

The atmosphere in the studio can be cut at a number of moments, because sidekick Evi Hanssen does not fully follow Ruud’s story. Then Ruud shouts: “Now you’re silencing me. You say ‘ho, ho’, when it’s not right. So she can say all kinds of things about him, but I can’t say anything about her from you.”

Johnny de Mol has denied all allegations of Shima tonight in HLF8. “There is nothing true. I did not do any of that and there is certainly no question of abuse.”
