In the past week alone, there were three victims in blind spot accidents in Flanders, including a 13-year-old boy who is still fighting for his life in Ghent. “Another someone’s child. When will it stop?” sighs the family of Inge Hayen (39) from Limburg, who was dragged along on her bicycle by a truck almost two years ago and died in a fatal accident. “Never being able to say ‘mama’ again because someone should have seen mom but didn’t see it, you don’t get used to it.”
