John van den Heuvel has made an amateurish mistake in the Danny de Munk case. He accidentally informed the singer of the identity of his declarant.
Danny de Munk is in serious trouble now that a woman has reported him for rape. Actually, the identity of the declarant should have remained a secret with team Danny, but they now know who it is. John van den Heuvel has mistakenly forwarded an email with her data, media such as AD and NU.nl report.
Blunder of John
John, who brought out the story about the declaration via De Telegraaf last night, has committed a major blunder. Danny’s lawyer, Royce de Vries, profits from this. He says: “The client is now aware of the identity of the declarant. This confirms to him that the allegation is unsubstantiated.”
Yvonne Coldeweijer, who two months ago was the first to publish stories about Danny’s alleged misconduct, thinks John is not happy that his blunder is out on the street. “If Royce leaked this to the press then I think he’s arguing with John now.”
‘Very painful’
Albert Verlinde finds it very clumsy of John, he says in Shownieuws. “This is a very painful thing. Normally you shouldn’t know who is reporting you, because now people are going to do interrogations and you are indeed going to say: okay, what are you saying? And, Danny, come by too, you’re being interrogated.”
He continues: “Then you will tell your story with the knowledge you have at that moment. And now he knows who it is from that mistaken e-mail. This allows him to prepare for the questions that will be asked.”
