Lennon explains now Word in Your Ear podcast, that the previous name became a burden for him, for example, when traveling.

– Whenever you have to introduce yourself, especially on boarding passes, they always only use your first name. So everywhere it always read only John Lennon, the musician explains.

– I started to fear such situations. Someone was always telling jokes and jokes, and people usually didn’t recognize me. I’ve always gone by Julian, so it became uncomfortable over the years, as being called John never felt right.
