Has tested positive for the corona virus: John Degenkolb
Professional cyclist John Degenkolb has been infected with the corona virus. As the 33-year-old announced via Twitter, a routine test was positive.
“So. Now it got me too,” wrote the classics specialist from Team DSM and posted a photo of his self-test result.
Unfortunately, this also means that he cannot start as planned in the Tour of Belgium, which begins this Wednesday.
“But don’t worry, I’m fine and luckily the symptoms are mild. I’ll be back soon,” said Degenkolb.
