John de Bever does not consider himself a Hazes licker: ‘That is not true’

John de Bever does not see himself as some kind of heel licker of Rachel Hazes. The folk singer claims that he is not the type at all. “Otherwise we might have come a lot further.”

The association with Rachel Hazes is one that you prefer to avoid as a celebrity, but she is simply the cashier of the Holland Zingt Hazes concerts and participation in them is well deserved. John de Bever has also been part of the cast since this year, which means that he is now also in Camp Rachel.

No heel licker

The magazine Weekend points out that Rachel only works with artists from whom she cannot expect any headwind. “Loyalty is important to Rachel. Those who don’t fit her style are usually not asked.”

Does this mean that John is now fist deep with the unpopular Rachel? He claims, “Well, we never do heel licking and we never will. Otherwise we might have come much further sooner.”

To fight

John means by ‘we’ his friend, with whom he is business runs as an artist. They say they operate mentally independent. “Sometimes that attitude brings sadness and sometimes happiness, and sometimes something can take a very long time, but it all works out in the end. You notice that again with Holland Zingt Hazes.”

Does he dare to give his opinion about the Hazes vicissitudes? “Everyone is super nice to us and we are just nice to everyone. We would have brought Rachel a bunch of flowers, laughed with Dreetje, and if Roxeanne had been there, we would have done the same with her.”

Satisfying

Now that John has this lucrative job in the pocket he is eternally grateful to Rachel. “Yes, those flowers were also out of gratitude. Thanks to Rachel and Dretje we are there. That’s just beautiful.”

He doesn’t think it’s in doubt that Rachel has been exposed as a fake heir. “We are everyone’s friends and there is something in every family. At least for me, anyway.”
