ir. JM (Johan) Osinga will be director-general of the Regional Development Agency for the Transition of Rural Areas at the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. The Council of Ministers has approved the proposal of Minister Bruins Slot of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The appointment will take effect on October 1, 2022.
Johan Osinga has been director-general for Nature, Fisheries and Rural Areas at the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality since September 2018. From April 2022 he will fulfill the position of quartermaster-director-general of the Regional Transition Organization for the Rural Areas. He previously held various positions at the former Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment, among other things, as General Director/Provincial Secretary and Strategy Director at the Province of Overijssel.
Johan Osinga studied Cultural Engineering at Wageningen Agricultural University.
This appointment was made through the procedure for the top management group of the General Administrative Service. The recruitment and selection for this appointment was done by Bureau ABD and the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. This vacancy was not open, because someone was needed quickly and the quartermaster was a suitable candidate.
