Diederik Ebbinge teases Johan Derksen that he is currently two hands on one stomach with John de Mol. He jokingly calls him ‘John de Mol’s showpiece’ on Twitter.
During the abuse riot around The Voice of Holland, Johan Derksen was so much in John de Mol’s camp that every viewer was really suspicious. In fact, even his co-host Wilfred Genee is already tired of that Mole cuddling, which caused the two to collide with each other yesterday.
Showpiece
Luizenmoeder star Diederik Ebbinge endorses the critical column that Het Parool has written about Johan. “John de Mol’s showpiece”, he calls it Twitter†
Just like Diederik and Het Parool, Angela de Jong also finds it abject that Johan dismisses both the protesting Talpa women and the protesting Ajax women as ‘characterless clickers’: “Johan Derksen’s opinion about ‘cowardly women’ who ‘click’ in the media about what happened to them is ripe for a place in the Historical Museum, next to Zwarte Piet.”
clash
The clash that arose between Wilfred and Johan about this is interesting to see, Angela writes in the AD† “A clash between generations, between ways of thinking. How many families and companies are not currently having a similar conversation?”
According to format creator Kirsten Jan van Nieuwenhuijzen, who was once in John de Mol’s first team, Johan should now be mainly concerned about his credibility. “Johan gets a lot over him of course because of his unwavering support for John de Mol, which is a bit laughable,” he says in the podcast Content Wars†
Embarrassing
Podcast presenter Jelle Maasbach said: “It has become a bit like John de Mol’s press officer. That is very embarrassing, yes.”
Kirsten Jan: “John’s arm is very deep with Johan, but of course it is a bit laughable how he continues to support John. He really needs to be careful that his credibility isn’t shattered.”
High viewing figures
For now, all criticism just seems to slide off Johan. After all, people are watching his program VI Today en masse.
How does Kirsten Jan explain that? “The funny thing about him is that of course he can say anything. It really doesn’t matter. He’s had so many scandals and can yell, insult people, it doesn’t matter: people are always watching.”
