Johan Derksen is annoyed that all Matthijs van Nieuwkerk’s programs have been taken over by others at such an enormous pace. “It really is a t*ring world.”
Matthijs van Nieuwkerk has resigned from broadcaster BNNVARA after the controversy about his alleged misconduct at De Wereld Draait Door. In no time all his programs were forgiven to other presenters and now his crown jewel is on sale: Matthijs Continues. Music lover Eric Corton has already applied.
Totally destroyed
How incredibly disgusting, says Johan Derksen. He says in his program Inside today: “Wilfred, I was reading the newspapers this afternoon and then I thought: how we work and live in a special, scary, underhanded world here at that Media Park. Look, you have that issue with Matthijs and he has been pilloried.”
He continues: “Then he was totally destroyed by everyone here. Totally destroyed. Then his best friend, who has grown up with the Top 2000 thanks to Matthijs, goes to work with the new presenter very panting. Leo Blokhuis, yes. A creep. If I had been Matthijs, I would have said: ‘Fuck off now!’”
T*ring world
Patrick Lodiers is the replacement for Matthijs in The Connection and painfully knows how to captivate more viewers. “That may also be because there is another program opposite, I don’t know, but the entire Media Park is slapping its thighs with gloating, because Lodiers, who has sat down on his chair, has more viewers,” says Johan.
“And then he also had, Matthijs, the best music program of all time in the Netherlands. Well, Eric Corton has already reported. He wants to take over! Is there one guy with character in his fagot or do they all have only one interest and that is self interest? You won’t find any loyalty here. It really is a t*ring world we work in.”
Applause for John
Özcan Akyol, bosom friend of Matthijs, then: “Applause for Johan!”
The whole audience applauds. Johan: “One person’s death is another person’s bread and they don’t give a damn what happens to someone.”
How is Matthijs doing? Özcan says: “He is doing well. He’s having fun. But yes, you have to wait for such an investigation, don’t you? That will take months and months.”
Johan: “But he didn’t commit an explosion, did he? He lashed out at an editor.”
Özcan: “I agree with you, but those people aren’t hindered by vanity, are they? Or through self-understanding. Eric Corton…”
In the ass
Johan notices that Matthijs’ service record apparently no longer counts. “Obviously everyone is replaceable, hasn’t it? They were all Matthijs’s friend, they crawled up his ass when he was the big star of De Wereld Draait Door, but everyone is replaceable and when you leave there are ten hunters behind who want to sit on your chair.”
He continues: “It really is a very bad world. They don’t give each other the light in their eyes. And kiss when they meet!”
No news
Moderator Wilfred Genee: “This isn’t news, is it? You already knew this, didn’t you?”
Johan: “Yes, but now I was confronted with the facts again, you know. Those Lodiers? Huppakee, on his chair! That Corton? An unsolicited open application.”
Wilfred: “I found the latter quite remarkable, yes.”
Johan: “But I really hate that guy from the Top 2000, Blokhuis. That was a curly boy and he only became something thanks to Matthijs!”
