Johan Derksen does not rule out that Özcan Akyol is lying about Matthijs van Nieuwkerk’s mysterious howler video. “I wonder if there is a video: everyone searches, but no one finds.”
How betrayed Matthijs van Nieuwkerk will feel by his, until recently, best friend Özcan Akyol. The regular guest of Today Inside has created a whole new twist in the DWDD scandal by claiming that a video of Matthijs’ misconduct is circulating in Hilversum. He has already seen it from several colleagues.
Strange story
At least, that’s what Özcan says. No other TV prominent has seen that video. Only René Mioch says he knows someone who has seen that video. More and more people are now starting to doubt Özcan and even his own colleagues at Today Inside are wondering whether it is all true.
Wilfred Genee points it out in the broadcast from last night. “By the way, about that video. Everyone would have it, but I don’t think anyone has seen it yet, right, that video. It’s starting to become a bit of a strange story.”
Johan skeptical
Colleague Johan Derksen is very sceptical. “I was already wondering if there was a video, because everyone is looking, but no one finds it.”
René van der Gijp: “René Mioch. He said he had seen something.”
Wilfred: “No, he had heard that someone had seen it.”
René: “And Eus.”
‘Not seen’
Wilfred wonders how serious it is. “No, but René Mioch had heard that someone had seen it. Yes, what should we do with that?”
Krukgast Raymond Mens: “No, I haven’t seen it either.”
Fellow Kruk guest Chris Woerts: “I didn’t see it either.”
Wilfred: “Are you going to doubt that video or do you think it is there?”
Chris: “I think RTL must have seen it, otherwise they won’t suspend him again.”
Everyone on the hunt
Wilfred also has doubts. “If someone comes up with such a film story and no one sees such a film and everyone starts speculating about it…”
Johan fears that Eus is lying. “Everyone is now hunting for the video and for the same money the video does not exist.”
René: “But I also don’t see Eus saying: ‘There is a video’, and there is no video.”
Wilfred: “That would be completely painful.”
Johan: “But has Eus also seen the video or has he heard the same story?”
René: “He has seen the video. Then I assume it is there.”
