Today Inside editor Sam van Royen, the son of Heleen van Royen, is the instigator of the mega quarrel between Johan Derksen and Eva Jinek. Sam is the one who told Eva to Johan by saying that she danced on VI’s grave at a party. Shortly afterwards Johan called her an ‘uncollegial slut’ on TV.

Appointments with Helen

Heleen was a guest in VI on Wednesday, but strangely enough, there was not a word about her son, who has just caused a whole riot. Afterwards, Wilfred Genee revealed in a video column that informal agreements have been made with Heleen. “I wouldn’t talk about your son,” he said. She then: “Hold on, hang on, do that.”

A remarkable revelation, because VI always resists all those regular talk shows that make all kinds of agreements with their guests, which kills the conversation at the table. What exactly is this?

Johan Derksen denies

Johan denies that Heleen did not allow them to talk about Sam’s role in the Jinek riot. “My daughter calls me and she says: ‘Are you already being gagged over there?’ I say, “What’s going on?” She says: ‘Well, Wilfred had a thing for Heleen and people concluded that we weren’t allowed to ask questions about her son.’”

Wilfred: “That’s not true.”

Johan: “No, that is not the case, because in the first place we will not be silenced, but that was about a private matter with that son who has nothing to do with anything. But they thought it had to do with the Jinek case.”

‘Was about private life’

The informal appointment with Heleen was therefore about a private matter surrounding her son and not about his involvement in the Jinek riot. Wilfred: “No, it had nothing to do with that. It was indeed about private life and she wanted…”

Johan: “And I still think that Jinek still behaves a bit hysterically in the publicity. I gave her the lead: “If you said it as a joke, I still understand.” And then she goes on TV and says, ‘No, I didn’t say it at all,’ and she calls that boy a liar.”

He also finds Sam absolutely not a clicker. “That boy was there as our editor, so it makes perfect sense that he tells us what he heard there. So I think Jinek has behaved very immaturely.”

‘About Jinek again?’

Wilfred: “Yes, but do we have to keep coming back to that?”

Johan: “No, but it came back now because it seems to have been written about.”

Wilfred: “No, but that was not the point in the end. No, she didn’t want to say anything about her private life.”
