The passengers on the platform were waiting for the train. But instead, ten joggers came out of the U7 tunnel at Mehringdamm on Wednesday evening. Only a few minutes later the subway pulled in here.
A passenger filmed how the men and women ran around 9.40 p.m. with start numbers and respirators through the track bed in the direction of Möckernbrücke.
A witness: “It looked so official because of the start numbers. But five minutes later the train pulled in, that was absolutely suicidal!”

When BZ asked, the BVG confirmed that the tunnel run was illegal. A spokesman: “Of course, this stupid action was not discussed with us, let alone approved. That is simply life-threatening.”
The BVG is now examining legal action against the joggers and warns against imitating such actions.
