Using Elmo’s X account, the red monster asked his followers how they were doing and then received 17,000 honest answers. Users commented on the post that they didn’t like their work or talked about their relationship worries. One user explained: “I’m depressed and broke,” and prominent names like US rapper Chance The Rapper also responded to Elmo’s query: “To be honest, I’m doing really well right now.”

In a second post, the “Sesame Street” character declared: “Wow! Elmo is glad he asked! Elmo has learned that it is important to ask a friend how they are doing. Elmo will be listening again soon, friends! Elmo loves you. #EmotionalWellbeing.” US President Joe Biden sees it the same way, because he shared Elmo’s statement and agreed with “our friend Elmo”.
Biden added that some days it is more difficult to “drive away clouds and reach sunnier days.” It is precisely in such moments that people should be there for each other and try to help people in need: “Even if it is hard, you are never alone.”
