Biden’s popularity remained well above 50 percent in the early months of his presidency, but fell in August last year as the number of US coronavirus deaths rose and the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan led to the fall of Kabul.
Biden’s low popularity is still higher than the low of his predecessor Donald Trump, whose policy was approved by only 33 percent of Americans in December 2017.
