The president of the United States has described the trial as “unacceptable”
United States President Joe Biden demanded this Thursday that Russia release “immediately” American basketball player Brittney Griner after she was sentenced this Thursday by the Russian Justice to nine years in prison.
“This is unacceptableand I ask Russia to release her immediately so she can be with her wife, her loved ones, her friends and her teammates,” Biden said in a statement distributed by the White House.
