Jody Nagtzaam becomes a bit despondent. Her clothing store in Breda has been around for thirty years and was robbed for the tenth time this week. “We have to remain positive, but it always costs us a lot of negative energy.”
A few days after the burglary, Jody is still busy to recover everything. “There was stolen for 3000 euros and we are not even talking about the damage in the store.”
The burglars have taken that night with a chopping ax the window of the store and arrived in this way. “There was a half -meter hole and they went through it.” On surveillance images it is clear to see how the burglars proceeded. “You see them in a kind of rain suit with a helmet. They have parked the scooter in front of the door. They come in with a large bag and work quite amateurishly.”
Once inside it appears that the security measures that Jody has taken with her brother works. “We have fog generators. The store is quickly full of fog, so they no longer have a view.”

“But they can always take something with them,” she emphasizes, despite all the precautions they have taken against another burglary. “We also have cameras and all clothing is protected, but they always find a way to steal something.”
Jody sells clothing from the more expensive segment in her store. “I think they just steal it to sell. We will never see that again, I think, although that would be nice.”
For the owner it is always a big blow, but she does not give up, even though she is not completely reimbursed for the damage. “We get some reimbursed from the insurance, but not everything. We work hard for our business. It is our things and they just have to stay there.”
