Joakim Kemell had a hard time against Slovakia. Finland won 9–3. AOP

Slovak Adam Sykora drove Joakim Kemelli ugly with a knee tackle at the end of the opening set. The situation looked bad, but luckily Paloka’s man didn’t hurt himself.

– Those are absolutely pointless tackles. Of course there may be. But the player decides for himself if he wants to drive to the end. It doesn’t happen by accident, it’s the player’s responsibility, Kemell explained the situation to Iltalehti.

The attacker did not need medical treatment after the attack.

– There was luck in that accident. I managed to dodge the leg a bit. That blow to the groin hurt a bit, Kemell said.

Operating in the first court, Kemell scored 0+2 points and has scored a total of 2+5 power points in the WC tournament.

Kasper Simontaival, Kasper Puutio and Aatu Räty got three points in the match.

Finland overthrew Slovakia 9–3. The lions scored no less than five power play goals.
