Kaj Sierhuis was back in Amsterdam for a while. The footballer, who grew up in Jisp, went down 3-0 with Heracles Almelo against his old employer Ajax. It was therefore not a pleasant return to the Johan Cruijff Arena for the striker of the Almeloërs.
“You have nothing to lose against Ajax. The only thing you can do is carry out your tasks and then hope for a good result,” says Sierhuis after the game. It was the first time for the 23-year-old footballer that he had to play against the club in Amsterdam for which he wore the club colors for more than ten years.

Sierhuis closed its door in Amsterdam in January 2020 and opted for an adventure at Stade de Reims. Since the beginning of this season, the French team has rented him out to Heracles. Sierhuis is at his place in Almelo and he has already played seventeen league games this season. In addition, he scored three times for the number fifteen in the Eredivisie.
