The British luxury label Jimmy Choo is launching a capsule with Jean Paul Gaultier.
The shoe brand’s collaboration with the French fashion house brings together the cultural mix of the two brands, “one of which represents London and the other of Paris,” said a statement on Wednesday. The shoe collection includes high boots, classic heels and pointed pumps.
The cultural backgrounds of the labels are reflected in the designs, with the landmarks of the two European cities appearing in the heels of classic pumps. Gaultier’s rebellious style and the extravagant influences of his haute couture can also be found in the collection.

I have admired his work for as long as I can remember and he has inspired me throughout my fashion life. “I was honored and incredibly excited to reimagine his legacy, the meaning of his work and his world through the lens of Jimmy Choo alongside Florence Tétier,” said Sandra Choi, Creative Director of Jimmy Choo.
