Thanks to a donation from Cynthia “Plaster Caster” Albritton, who died in April 2022, the Icelandic Phallus Museum will soon have a cast of Jimi Hendrix’s penis on display. The presentation will take place at a closed event in Reykjavik in early June. There are over 200 penises on display in the museum.
Intimate art objects
Cynthia Albritton earned her “Plaster Caster” moniker by making plaster casts of rock stars’ privates, which she also became close to through being a groupie. Jimi Hendrix’s Schniedelwutz was Cynthia’s most famous cast and one of her first, done in February 1968.
“Jimi Hendrix came to town. He was my first real rock star to dunk his cock and it was amazing. We were the groupies who got to the hotel first, and we were the only groupies in Jimi Hendrix’s room. It wasn’t my first model. I tried it out on a few commoners first to be ready for Jimi,” Albritton said in an interview.
When asked if Jimi’s penis was her favorite model, she said, “He’s my biggest. No he’s not my biggest but I couldn’t tell if he’s my most exciting or not. ‘Cause they’re my sweet babies and I’m their mom and I’m very democratic with all my babies. I don’t like darlings. i love them all The experiences were all equally exciting and weird and different.”
Illustrious collection
In addition to the plaster cast of Hendrix’s penis, Albritton also made casts of the genitals of other well-known rock musicians, such as Noel Redding, Wayne Kramer, Jello Biafra and Pete Shelley. She also cast the breasts of artists such as Sally Timms, Peaches and Laetitia Sadier.
Albritton, who used a dental mold compound called alginate to make the plaster casts, was immortalized in the band Kiss’ song “Plaster Caster.” There is also a documentary about her from 2001. It also has her nickname “Plaster Caster”. Cynthia Albritton passed away on April 21, 2022 at the age of 74.
