Matty van Wijnbergen
AMSTERDAM – Miraculously, during the Second World War, the father of the Jewish-Amsterdam native Sara de Vries managed to escape hunting Germans and unreliable NSB members, and to protect family members from that too. The survival instinct of Marcus de Vries comes to the fore in daughter Sara every year at the beginning of May. As the last living descendant, she wants to keep the special war history of her family alive.
