Jeweler who shot robber still risks 5 years: “I am a victim, but they treat me as a perpetrator”

More than four years after two robbers with a Kalashnikov robbed more than half a million euros worth of jewelery from his shop, the final decision has been made: jeweler Filip Moens (54) from Oostakker must still answer to the court because he was one of the fleeing gangsters shot in the back. The 23-year-old criminal died. “My whole life has been turned upside down by that robbery,” says the defeated man.
