Hospital, infection, hope: Jessie J feels “much stronger” again
Jessie J reports to her fans with a child. Six weeks after her breast cancer surgery, she was hospitalized again. Now she gives her Instagram story all-clear herself. Optimistically, she tells her fans: “I feel much stronger.”

The 37-year-old pop singer made public in June that breast cancer was diagnosed early on. Shortly after her appearance at the Summertime Ball on June 15th in Wembley, she let herself operate. On August 2, the shock: because of acute chest pain and suspected of a blood clot in the lungs, she came to the clinic again. But after a few tests it was clear: no blood clot, but an infection and liquid in the lungs.
Another stay in the clinic due to complications
In several stories, Jessie J shared recordings from the hospital on her private social media account. To see on it: your hand with an infusion needle. Jessie J then wrote about the troubling pictures: “So I spent the last 24 hours. Six weeks after the operation and I was back in the same station. Not planned, not expected.” The first symptoms had indicated pulmonary embolism, luckily this suspicion had not been confirmed. “They have done many tests that ultimately showed that I have an infection (we don’t know exactly which one yet) and some liquid on the lungs.”
Self -determined discharge and optimism
Despite breasts and pain in the chest, the singer released herself out of the hospital, she wanted to relax at home and continue the investigations outpatient. In an Instagram story she joked: “The diagnosis? Dramatic, I think, that’s how you write it.” Two days later, Jessie J became a serious one, but also optimistic: “I think many think that I’m hanging on the silk thread … and sometimes it actually felt like this. But I hardly have any symptoms in the meantime. I definitely feel much stronger in any case.”

Musical plans despite health challenges
Jessie J is currently planning to do her “No Secrets” tour in UK and Europe as planned in autumn. The start is on September 15th in Glasgow. Previously, she had played an intimate acoustic concert in the London Union Chapel in June. Jessie J had to deal with health problems earlier: as a child, a heart disease was diagnosed with her, and she suffered a stroke as a teenager. After a miscarriage in 2021, she gave birth to her first child in 2023. In 2020 she temporarily lost her hearing due to the Menière disease. In 2023 she also announced that ADHD and obsessive -compulsive disorders (OCD) were found.
