Jessica Schilder took silver at the Diamond League in Rabat, Morocco. The 23-year-old shot putter from Volendam finished with 18.85 meters behind the Portuguese Auriol Dongmo (19.28 meters).
It was Schilder’s first outdoor competition of the year and it didn’t go smoothly. After six attempts, only two valid distances remained. The best attempt, 18.85 meters, was far from her personal best: 20.24 meters.

The Volendam player took fifth place indoors at the European Championships in Istanbul in March. Schilder will participate in the World Outdoor Championships in Budapest in August.
