Jesse Puljujärvi scored the opening goal of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins last night against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
A good six minutes later, the Finn was starting the penguins’ 2-0 goal, which he finished off Marc Johnstone.
The Pittsburgh farm gang eventually won the game 4–3.
After a somewhat sticky start, Puljujärvi has gotten into a good mood in the AHL. The Finn, who returned to action after hip surgery, played the first four games in the farm without power points, but after that the balance of the last six games is 4+4=8.
