The Carolina Hurricanes beat the New Jersey Devils.

The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the New Jersey Devils 4-2 on Saturday night in the NHL.
Carolina’s Finnish star Teuvo Teräväinen was in a strong attack, as he scored 1+2 power points in the match. Jesperi Kotkaniemi accompanied by scoring one goal.
Czech forward Martin Nečas gave Carolina a 1–0 lead in the opening set off a pass from Teräväinen, but Nico Hischier brought the home team to level with the Devils at the end of the second set.
Kotkaniemi gave the Hurricanes a 2–1 lead at the beginning of the third period with a very special hit. Kotkaniemi got the puck on the edge of the attack zone and decided to shoot the puck right towards the Devils goal. The rubber puck hit the net from almost zero angle and Kotkaniemi was able to raise his hands in the air.

Russian forward Andrei Svetshnikov extended Carolina’s lead to two goals by sending the puck into an empty net late in the period, but Timo Meier put the Devils back within reach.
Teräväinen finally finished with an empty net for a final score of 4–2.
Carolina is fourth in the Eastern Conference. The team has won no fewer than four of their previous five matches. The Hurricanes also improved on the transfer front, when the club acquired Jake Guentzel, the most sought-after forward on the market. Carolina also got Yevgeni Kuznetsov.
The Devils are 11th in the Eastern Conference. The team is about to fall outside the playoff battle. The club acquired Kaapo Kähkönen from the San Jose Sharks on Friday, but the Finnish guard was not yet in the lineup.
