Jerrycans and boxes: suspected drug waste found at Anna Paulowna and Breezand

Suspected drug waste was found in two places this morning in the rural areas of Anna Paulowna and Breezand. These are cardboard boxes and jerry cans with an unknown (liquid) substance in them. The waste will be cleared away as quickly as possible.

A passerby saw the jerry cans and boxes this morning around 9 o’clock on the Lotweg in Anna Paulowna. An hour later there was a report of possible drugs in a parking bay on the N99 in Breezand. It is not yet possible to say whether the finds are related.

The area on Lotweg has been cordoned off and the ground has been contaminated, the police on site informed our reporter. The area has therefore been cordoned off and must be cleaned.

A sample of the substance(s) found is sent to the Dutch Forensic Institute and examined. The National Dismantling Facility cleans up the waste.
