‘Jeroen van der Boom does not want to record a fart for Radio 538’

Jeroen van der Boom is probably not eager to record one of his farts for Radio 538, thinks morning jock Tim Klijn. “I think he’s going to hang up.”

The morning team of Radio 538 has four hours of radio to fill every morning and then you quickly end up with the most silly radio games. Sidekick Rick Romijn now suggests the section ‘Win with the wind’, in which listeners have to guess which fart belongs to which celebrity. Now listeners already have to guess which voice belongs to which celebrity.

Guess the Gas

Morning jock Tim Klijn reports a day later that that section already exists. “What turns out now? I was approached by a friend who has lived in the United States for a long time and who says: ‘Yes, in America they do this on the radio. We listened to that every day and the game was called Guess the Gas.’”

Rick can’t believe it. He says in the morning show of 538: “I certainly didn’t take it!”

call John

Fellow sidekick Niels van Baarlen also thinks it’s a good idea. “Then we should do the same here! But where do we get all those farts from?”

Tim: “That is the big question.”

Niels: “Then you should actually call a celebrity, for example Jeroen van der Boom, like: ‘We have a game.'”

Record fart

Tim: “It starts with: ‘We have a question for you.’ And then of course he goes, ‘What do you want to ask? Do you want to play my new single or perform live?’”

Niels: “No, then we say: ‘Would you like to record a fart for us?’”

Rick: “Isn’t that fantastic?”

Horn up

Tim thinks that Jeroen does not want to record a fart. “I think he’s going to hang up.”

Niels: “I think so too. I think you never need to call him again.”

Newsreader Florentien van der Meulen: “No, of course not. Doesn’t he like that? Everyone farts!”

Niels: “Yes, but I don’t think people talk about it with pride.”
