Hollywood star Jeremy Renner (52) fell under his own snow plow on New Year’s Day. A terrible accident – he had fractures and bruises of internal organs. But he saved his nephew’s life.
For the first time, the Marvel actor speaks about the terrible incident in an interview that will appear on US TV on April 6th. And it gets very emotional.
Journalist Diane Sawyer (77, including “ABC World News Tonight” and “Good Morning America”), who leads the conversation, asks Renner if he would go through the terrible ordeal again.
Without hesitation, Jeremy Renner declares: “I would do it again!” The journalist asks if he really means it. “Yeah, that thing rolled right at my nephew.”
Does he remember the pain? “Yes, of everything,” says Renner. The nephew also has his say in the documentary. He believed his uncle was dead when he first saw him. Renner lay in a pool of blood after falling under the snow plow. The blood dripped from his head.
► The moment Renner sheds a tear: The actor tells how he communicated with his family in sign language in the hospital bed when he was seriously injured.
He’s sorry, he said to his family. Then Renner interrupts the interview for a moment, gets emotional.
Jeremy Renner appears to be in good physical shape again after the horrific crash. Only recently were racers seen on a special running machine.
