Flemish parlementslid Jeremie Vaneeckhout (36) from Anzegem is the same as Nadia Naji (30) from Molenbeek in the Voorzittersrace near Groen. Opvallend, ze doen not as a candidate for the vote and a candidate for the second vote, but as a candidate for the covoorzitter. Het duo stapt daarmee af van het model dat Groen tot vandaag hanteert and wil het vorbeeld van de Franstalige groenen van Ecolo en The Greens in Germany overnemen.
Devoorbije dagen slonk het lijstje met mogelijke opvolgers voor Meyrem Almaci bij Groen zienderogen. Mogelijke kandidaat-voorzitters as Björn Rzoska, Wouter De Vriendt and Bogdan Vanden Berghe haakten één voor één af.
Another name that has been passed by Jeremie Vaneeckhout, the 36-year-old Vlaams volksvertegenwoordiger that has been held in het (2014-2019) or else that has been part of the leadership of Meyrem Almaci.
Vaneeckhout is now in the race, but that is what happens next with Nadia Naji. Zij is adviseur gezondheid en sociale zaken op het kabinet van Brussels mobility minister Elke Van den Brandt and is guest lecturer on the opleiding Communicationmanagement van de Erasmushogeschool Brussel.

Het duo will break with the big model van Voorzitter-Othervoorzitter by Groen and opt for a system van gedeeld Voorzitterschap such as by the Greens in Germany and the Franstalige groenen van Ecolo in onsland.
“Het is tijd voor vernieuwing aan de top”, het clicks. “Dat geeft ons ook de kans om as a complementair duo de diversity aan de top bij Groen te amsterken, en de politiek in het algemeen meer kleur te geven”, say Naji and Vaneeckhout bij hun aankondiging.
