Jennifer Gray’s rhinoplasty regret, which went down in cinema history

Jennifer Gray, the star of the movie “Dirty Dancing”, which was shown as “First Love, First Dance” in Turkey and made a big impression all over the world in the 1980s, made a name for herself with her confessions. Expressing that he regrets the plastic surgery he had done on his nose in his book Out of the Corne, the famous name said that he exiled himself from Hollywood.

“I EXILED MYSELF FROM HOLLYWOOD”

Gray, who did not act in such an effective and successful film after Dirty Dancing, said that he exiled himself from Hollywood and included the following statement in his book:

“I spent a lot of energy questioning what I did wrong, why I was ‘exiled from the kingdom’.”

“I wasn’t me anymore”

Then Jennifer Gray; Years later, she admitted that she regretted the rhinoplasty she had done in the 1990s, when she was still at the beginning of her career.

The 62-year-old actress expressed her regret for rhinoplasty in her book Out of the Corne, which she wrote years later, with the words, “I was not me anymore. Nobody knew me. I lost my identity and my career in one night. It was as if I had become invisible.”

“MOTHER SUGGESTED”

In her memoir, which will meet with the reader on May 3, Gray wrote, “The interesting thing is that aesthetics was something I resisted my whole life and my mother was always saying that I needed to get my nose done.”

Grey, who gained fame with the 1987 production of Dirty Dancing, in which she shared the lead roles with the deceased actor Patrick Swayze, and made cinema history with her dance scenes, said in an interview with People magazine for the book promotion that she resisted despite her mother’s aesthetic insistence, “I was good enough. I didn’t have to do this. That’s what I really felt. I was pretty enough,” she said.

“I lost my identity and my career overnight,” Gray said as a result of his plastic surgery.

He stated that before the operation, everyone commented on his nose, but his mother, actress Jo Wilder, convinced him to have the operation so that he would not face obstacles in the roles he would take.

“MCHAEL DOUGLAS DID NOT KNOW ME”

However, Gray, who said that the result of the surgery was heavier than he expected, explained an incident he experienced as follows:

“After I had nose surgery, I went to a movie premiere. When I saw my actor friend Michael Douglas looking at me, I realized he didn’t recognize me. Douglas had no idea who I was. Because I looked so different.”

According to her book, that movie premiere was her first public involvement after her nose surgery.
