About a week and a half ago, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck tied the knot. They did it without much fuss in Las Vegas, she in a dress from one of her movies, he in a jacket he still had in the closet. So not very luxurious, and not exactly what you would expect from two Hollywood stars. But the couple seems to be planning to throw a big party for family and friends. For this they have now hired event planner Colin Cowie, says ‘Page Six’. He has already organized parties for Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian and Nicole Kidman, among others. He and his team promise their clients whatever they want: “from a royal wedding of epic proportions to the most glamorous, sophisticated and tasteful wedding in the garden.” You have to dig deep into your pocket for that. According to Cowie’s website, he and his team host events at home and abroad “with budgets ranging from $25,000 (€24,449) to $25 million (€24 million).”

Sources previously said the party is likely to take place at Ben Affleck’s Georgia estate sometime in the coming weeks. The event would last two or three days, and would be for “everyone they love but couldn’t invite to Las Vegas”. It is suspected that Casey Affleck, Matt Damon, Jimmy Kimmel and Drea de Matteo will already be on the guest list.

After their wedding – with the singer officially taking her husband’s name – Jennifer and Ben traveled to Paris for their honeymoon. Together with their children from previous relationships, they visited just about all tourist attractions.
