Radio host Jenni Alexandrova and a businessman known from the Diili program Toni Lähde told Iltalehte their news at the recently organized Bollinger RD 2008 champagne dinner at the Palace restaurant.
The couple celebrated their second anniversary this spring. Over the course of two years, Jenni has especially fallen in love with the fact that Toni gets excited easily.
– The best thing about Toni is that Toni gets excited about everything. It’s wonderful when you don’t have to entice someone else to get excited. I haven’t even usually finished the sentence when Toni is already excited, Jenni says.
– We also like a lot of the same things. Our values are very similar. But Toni’s enthusiasm in particular is the best, Jenni adds.
Toni, on the other hand, is in love with Jenni’s luminosity.
– My answer is easier. Jenni is a light. Everyone has now asked how I’m doing and I’ve been beaming with sunshine. But fortunately, I have this all winter here in the dark North and it’s just like that, Toni says.
Shared restaurant
Jenni and Toni are opening their summer restaurant Waldemari for the second time this summer. The restaurant is located in Fiskars, which is also the duo’s summer home. Jenni and Toni have already gone to fix up the summer home and it is ready to receive the couple and their children.
– I can’t wait to get there and the children are waiting like crazy for them to get there. Summer will leave here soon, says Toni.
Toni once studied at the University of Art and Design, during which time Fiskars became a familiar place for him. Toni visited Fiskars a lot during his studies to draw and fell in love with the place.
– It was really funny that the building where we put this restaurant was designed by an architect who used to teach at my school. I’ve heard of him, but I didn’t know he was the architect of this particular building. Then Jenni told me about it, Toni laughs.
Jenni visited Fiskars for the first time only two years ago, when the couple had just started dating. At that time, the two got the idea together that establishing a joint restaurant in Fiskars would be a romantic idea. After a few months, the pizzeria was opened.

The restaurant’s popularity in the first summer completely surprised the duo.
– We were a bit surprised with our pants in knots. We sometimes ran out of pizza balls and had to queue for an hour, Jenni says.
– This summer we will improve our habits, Toni adds.
– Yeah, we’ll keep those pants on this summer, Jenni laughs.
New family everyday
Jenni has one child from her previous marriage and Toni has two sons from her previous marriage. Running a new family requires organization from busy pioneers. One of the reasons that the couple bought a summer home from Fiskars was that all family members would have a common place to spend time.
– We live in different parts of the city, the boys go to school in different parts of the city. It requires mediation, but it all always works out. The stars have been aligned here for this summer as well, Jenni says.
New families also have positive aspects. The children are with Jenni and Toni on a week-by-week system, so every other week they have time for the two of them and every other week the whole group gets together.
– Then you can be really present and it’s really wonderful, says Toni.
Jenni Alexandrova has hosted radio on radio channels such as Radio Rock and Me Naiset Radio. Currently, his voice is heard on the Aito Iskelmä channel. Jenni has also hosted television programs.
Toni, on the other hand, is already starring in the third season of Nelonen Dealprogram.
