Jeffrey Herlings celebrated his return after a year of absence

Motocross rider Jeffrey Herlings has achieved a fourth place in the Hawkstone Park International, a competition in Great Britain, on his comeback in the cross. Herlings came into action for the first time since November 2021 after spending the past year out with a broken left heel.

A number of other great top riders from the MXGP class also participated in the race. For two-time world champion Herlings, this race served as a preparation for the new MXGP season, which begins on March 12 with the Grand Prix of Patagonia-Argentina.

Profit to another Dutchman
The win in Shrewsbury was for Herling’s compatriot Glenn Coldenhoff. Herlings finished the first moto in seventh and was second in the second moto despite a fall. Another match will follow in France next week, after which the 28-year-old from Brabant will travel to Argentina. “It could be better today but I know it takes time to get back to the level we want to be. Fourth overall is not bad, but a bad start and a crash didn’t help me today,” said Herlings afterwards.
