The radio station for soul, jazz and everything in between mainly brings non-stop music, but also some presented programs. At the weekend there is Cor’s Jazzpodium. Pianist Cor Bakker plays his favorite jazz. This program is kind of a modern version of Music mosaic by Willem Duys, which was broadcast on Sunday mornings for years. Many pianists (Art Tatum, Chick Corea, Louis van Dijk) but also classical jazz vocalists. Occasionally Cor plays up-and-coming talent, but always in the easy listening-genre. He explains between songs. About pianist Erroll Garner, for example: “He actually uses his left hand as a kind of jazz guitar and with his right he plays very long block chords.”
