In café Het Rode Hert in Roderwolde, the African jazz sounds of Bokomo Swing can be heard during the sound check, when most participants of the event are registering. This is the only indoor venue where a band performs. Many people enjoy themselves outside on the terrace, but when the band really starts playing, the seats inside in front of the stage are quickly filled.
“With the nice weather we can’t miss this event, can we?”, says Petra Jurriens. Together with her husband, she is one of the first to take a seat in the hall. It is their first time participating. “Today’s goal is to enjoy the atmosphere, the beautiful locations, the bike rides and the weather,” says Rein.
The performance lasts half an hour. At the end of the performance, the band receives a loud round of applause. The audience then quickly moves to the bicycle. On to the next location and of course the next gig.
