20-year-old Jay Kruiver will finish the season at Telstar. The right back comes over from FC Volendam. He signs a contract until the end of the season. Telstar has an option for two more seasons in the contract.
De Zaankanter mainly played for Jong FC Volendam. “He came in once at Volendam. He couldn’t really break through there. Volendam is a fantastic neighbor who is doing great extra work on this switch,” said Telstar trainer Andries Jonker.
In his youth, Kruiver played for Zaanlandia, Ajax and FC Volendam. Kruiver was brought to Velsen-Zuid because Yaël Liesdek has been out of circulation for a long time. Yassine Zakir was the only right back left in Velsen-Zuid. With the arrival of Kruiver, that position is doubled again.
