In his father’s footsteps
Litmanen’s sons have rarely appeared in public. Caro was born in 2005 and Bruno in 2007.
In 2022, Litmanen told Iltalehte that his sons play football.
– With us, everyone decides for themselves what to do with their life. Everyone understands their own story. Things can be discussed. The most important thing is that everyone finds a path that is pleasant for them.
– I’m not really worried about my sons’ future, even though there is a lot of unrest in the world right now. There has always been saber rattling in the world, but of course it is now exceptional that the war is right at the gates of Europe, Litmanen said.
Litmanen’s spouse is Estonian Ly Jürgenson. Jürgenson has worked as a model and she represented Estonia in the Miss World competition in 1998.
“Litti” played in his career in Liverpool in the 2001-2002 season. Five goals were scored in 26 matches. The goals did not bring more playing time.
– It happened to me that I made a result. The less playing time started to come. That was the wonder of it. I wasn’t even injured at any point. Not a single training, not a single game was missed, Litmanen told Iltalehte in 2015.
Litmanen did his greatest feats at Ajax, where he won the Champions League in 1995.
