Jansen drops out in Hurry-Up relegation battle

HANDBALL – Hurry-Up cannot rely on Sverre Jansen (22) in the last two games of the season. Due to a knee injury, the Brabant shooter has to drop out in the relegation battle.

In the midweek, things went wrong for Jansen at training. The left builder, good for three goals against Volendam last weekend, has already put an end to the current season.

The damage to the knee will be examined after the weekend. With a cruciate ligament injury, Jansen, who last month extended his contract with Hurry-Up by a year, has to watch from the side for months.

With two games to go, the Zwartemeerders are suddenly last in the HandbalNL League due to a points penalty. Against Bevo (home) and competitor Quintus (away), Hurry-Up has to come back from minus one point without Jansen. Number five in the ranking Quintus is at zero.

Only the number six of the HandbalNL League is relegated to the Eredivisie. This Saturday evening the already played out Bevo will visit Zwartemeer. Position mate of Jansen Tiago Azenha from Portugal has just returned after serious lung complaints.
