Janny van der Heijden loves chocolate milk. The jury member of Heel Holland Bakt prefers to travel to Paris for a mug of this sugary drink. “Near the Louvre.”
Victoria Koblenko was once proclaimed by de Volkskrant media flop of the week when she confessed that she occasionally gets into the car “at crazy times” to buy her favorite macarons in Paris. Downright ridiculous of course, but we can have just a little more from Heel Holland Bakt jury member Janny van der Heijden.
Chocolate in Paris
André van Duin’s tasty TV girlfriend also has mundane traits. “I have a few too guilty pleasures when it comes to chocolate, such as chocolate milk made with dark chocolate instead of cocoa. And no, we’re not going to talk about calories,” she writes in the Nouveau.
She continues: “I prefer to drink this one chocolate hot in Paris at Angelina’s, near the Louvre. Unfortunately, this place has been featured in magazines and Instagram a little too much, so the lines are long, but I’ve been coming for a few decades and prefer the quieter times. Pure nostalgia in a jug.”
Marie Antoinette
Janny has more of these favorites. “My other guilty pleasure also comes from Paris: the guns from Marie Antoinette. For me the very best thin chocolates. In 1817 they settled in a building in the 7th arrondissement, where they still sell the famous chocolates and much more to this day.”
But does she really have to drive all the way to Paris for that? “I ignore the fact that they also have a web shop and that they might be able to ship to the Netherlands. Pure self-preservation.”
